My Story
From tech worker to tarot reader
While working at Facebook/Meta in 2015, I found colleagues struggled with career choices, relationships, and even product launches. As analysts and engineers, they were empirically minded. They craved data-driven solutions, but data, in the traditional sense, wasn’t available for the uncharted territory ahead.
I knew I could help them with tarot cards if I could overcome their skepticism around a historically “woo” tool. This is when I developed my unique approach.
In conference rooms after hours, conversations unfolded over tarot cards. We created a safe space to consider unique ideas and alternate paths. We planned for contingencies and challenged our expectations. The cards suggested ideas beyond what our minds imagined and the results were life-changing.
Once I started receiving phone calls at 2 am phone with requests from team members in India, I knew it was time to go full-time. I left corporate in 2017 and dedicated myself to Sound Sight Tarot.
Since then, I have built a tarot education program, developed a team of apprentice readers, and delivered thousands of tarot readings to people. I still feel like I am just getting started.
What I am passionate about
I love seeing people light up when they realize what they want in life. Every person has their unique path, purpose, and challenges. There is no one-size-fits-all solution in life. That’s why I help people find what works for them. Free from judgment and expectation, I help clients ask “what if” and approach their life with courage and curiosity.
Life these days
Living in Austin is a constant source of inspiration for me. I love seeing what businesses are doing here to create community and integrate art and culture. I always leap at the chance to read tarot for musicians and artists who keep this city so colorful.
I travel every few months, and nothing is better than the joy I feel returning home to a city I love. That’s why, in 2024, I bought a small condo in central Austin.
When I’m not working, I’m dancing. Dance brought me to Austin a decade ago. It’s how I nourish my body, mind, and soul so I can show up refreshed to work with clients every day. Though I rarely perform these days, I’m always practicing new moves.
I’ve learned about myself as I’ve built my business over the years. I embrace challenges as opportunities to take my own advice. I like to do hard things so I can be authentic when I guide my clients and friends to do the same.
My Philosophy
I don’t think any one of us has all the answers - and that’s what makes life fun. We are meant to explore! We are meant to fail, learn, and keep going. What we do with the experience we endure is more important than the experience itself.
I help my clients consider new pathways and possibilities. No matter what they are facing, I believe there is a way to help the moment work out for their greatest good.
A Few Fun Facts About Me
I studied 4 languages simultaneously in high school because my dream career was to be a translator. When I discovered tarot, I realized it was a visual language!
I lived and worked on the Hobbiton film set in Matamata, New Zealand for a year when I was 22. I felt lonely in a foreign country but I learned a lot about myself in that time.
As a child, I was highly perceptive of people’s feelings. Then, I was told this was a liability, now, it’s a valuable skill! My big 3: Cancer, Sagittarius, and Capricorn.
I grew up in Montana surrounded by breath-taking nature. Though I live in the city now, I surround myself with plants to stay connected with nature — my roots.
I genuinely love my work. No matter what happened in my day, once we start reading, I start glowing. I find purpose in my career and feel very fortunate for that.
I’ve dropped out of college twice, but I’m a life-long learner. I still take college classes regularly and seek out teachers around the world who help me grow.
